Fish as pets

Have you ever had an aquarium? If so what kind of fish did you have? I only had goldfish and this was when I was super young, I shouldn't have had them though. The poor fish ended up dying shortly after getting them since they were in a small bowl. Goldfish can grow to be huge if you take care of them properly.

I had as a kid and it was only one fish. A fish in a bowl. It was cool to feed her but she died quickly. No idea why

I stayed with someone who had them and the aquarium was facing my bed and at night the fish would stare at me. We flushed most of them (not my idea) and the big one wouldn’t go down
