Pet Spider

Would you ever have a pet spider? My spouse's uncle had a pet tarantula, I hate spiders and insects to begin with so I would never want to have one as a pet! I just don't get why people keep them as pets, I understand having them stay in their houses for pest control though.

I know some people like spiders as pets but that's wild for me. I dislike insects and spiders are on the top of the list.
